Amsterdam Light Festival

Practical information

• You rent your boat for 2 or 3 hours: the lights are on Sunday through Tuesday from 17:00 to 22:00, and Wednesday through Saturday until 23:00.
• Drive yourself = set your own pace: you determine your own pace and where you start the route.
• Deposit: a deposit of €100 is required upon departure. Please pay by card or credit card, we do not accept cash at the dock!
• ID-check: you must be at least 18 years old to captain the boat. Don’t forget your ID, no ID means no access to the water!
• Drinks: bring your own drinks! Tip: warm mulled wine is perfect against the cold! 😉 But remember, the captain stays sober!
• Music on board? Unfortunately not allowed. But no worries, the canals are magical enough with all the light artworks.
• Weather & cancellations: bad weather? No problem. You may cancel on the day itself in case of poor weather. Or sail on with a blanket, poncho, and a warm mulled wine in hand.
